Green Heart Nature Club is an NGO working in North East India since 1990 for biodiversity conservation with special attention to wildlife & its habitat involving community participation and promoting causes ancillary or interrelated disciplines connected thereto. As a non-profitable society registered in 1993 under SR Act. XXI of 1860, its vision continues with developing confidence among the people including Government and Non-government Institution & Organization.

- Promoting restoration, regeneration and conservation of forests and wildlife & its habitat through community participation & empowerment.
- Promoting Community and youth development along with livelihood of the marginalized section of people, empowering them for self sustenance through capacity building training, technology transfer & field demonstration in a sustainable way
- Doing wildlife rescue, rehabilitation & animal welfare activities.
- Doing research, and conservation on wildlife & forests, exploring unknown & least known wild areas
- Popularizing environmental economics, environmental politics & legal issues concerning women, children & disadvantaged section of people for sustainable living with dignity
- Inculcating environment conservation, awareness, education and orientation camps among students, teachers and other stakeholders.
- Introduction of bio-friendly technology to supplement rich indigenous knowledge and methods of development to rural economy and minimizing pressure on natural resources
- Promoting issues related to women empowerment for economic freedom & child welfare in the field of health and education.
- Co-ordinating better support and networking among Government Organisation, NGOs, Traditional & other Institutions, Experts of concerned field,
Looking forward………
Being an NGO of a region experienced horrible extremism, ethnic violence, devastation of humanity, political turmoil etc. for the last three decades the Green Heart NC continued its mission within the capacity and resources working in the field of biodiversity conservation and community development in NE-India under the circumstances of many odds at the same time enlightened by some achievements through genuine co-operations.
Besides this the alarming concern for changing ecological diversity, environmental values & societal issues during the last few decades in many areas of NE-India require multidimensional pro-active measures to save this biological hotspot for sustainable preservation.
